As one of the leading Oracle BI delivery experts in the UK, Eclectic continue to expand their delivery capabilities to match the ongoing growth of the Oracle BI product family. A recent addition to Oracle's capability has been Oracle Data Integrator, a specialist ELT toolkit that can be used to implement real time data integration across the Oracle Fusion Middleware family and heterogenous databases and applications.
Douglas Stevenson, a senior consultant in the Eclectic data warehousing team, has recently carried out a detailed review of the capabilities of this product, and the findings of this assesment have now been published in the September edition of Oracle Scene magazine.
The conclusion of the investigation found that the "Knowledge Modules" functionality of Oracle Data Integrator toolkit provides a powerful ELT development framework that allows for centralised code to be re-used across multiple transformations. This results in a significant reduction in the complexity of ELT development, and a subsequent decrease in the overall "total cost of ownership" of data integration projects.
